Korea (& Japan) Haul – Eyeliners Review

In my recent Korea trip I bought a total of 3 eyeliners, and long with another 1 from Japan, I’ll be doing a quick review in this post.

Etude House Proof10 Auto Pencil (brown), BCL Japan Browlash EX Water Strong 24h Makeup Liquid Eyeliner (Deep Brown), EH Proof10 Geliquid Liner (Black), The Face Shop Ink Graffi Liquid Liner (Full Black)

Some years back I had the chance to buy Bobbi Brown’s gel eyeliner during one of their sale, and I have been pampered, spoiled badly by this incredulous eyeliner pot that is extremely smudge-proof (trust me, I’m an oily babe in a humid world) and very nicely pigmented.

Bobbi Brown Gel Eyeliner (Brown)

I prefer pigmented eyeliners (read: very obvious so I can try that winged look) that doesn’t smudge even after a whole day in tropical weather. I also want it to be fairly cheap (S$10) as I don’t really want to spend S$20 on a BB eyeliner all the time (and that’s AFTER a big discount!)

Based on that, as quickly as I can now, here are my first thoughts:

Etude House Proof10 Auto Pencil (brown): Touted to be easy-to-apply and suitable for the water line, this pencil is actually not easy to apply, and the color is rather subtle. However the staying power is quite strong so I guess it’s good for basic “no makeup” look?

BCL Japan Browlash EX Water Strong 24h Makeup Liquid Eyeliner (Deep Brown): Got this in Japan, it’s really watery as can be seen in the swatch. Not really to my liking….

Etude House Proof10 Geliquid Liner (Black): Dark. I like. Cheap too.

The Face Shop Ink Graffi Liquid Liner (Full Black): Ditto the above.

I haven’t tried out the last 2 long enough, when I do I will update this page again.

Meanwhile, stay beautiful!
